Marty is an unabashed opponent to the proposed Toll Road that would adversely affect the Trestles surf break and San Onofre State Park. Marty helped organize the opposition to the Toll Road with a broad coalition of various non-profits. He recorded and posted to the internet over 500 interviews of those opposed to the Toll Road. Marty also appeared as the primary advocate in a highly effective Save Trestles and San Onofre Park video. Marty also regularly shows up at City Council and government meetings to champion Surfrider’s interests and to keep anti-environment legislation in check.
